Prairie fen mostly round in shape with large Typha pond/stream in center. Surrounded by wooded upland. Encroachment by shrubs (Cornus, Spiraea alba, Toxicodendron vernix), especially from the north. There are large patches of Typha, Lythrum salicaria, and Phalaris arundinacaea in the northeast. The northwest has amazingly low number of invasives seen. No signs of management but many tracks of trucks or ATVs. Also, many invasives (Phalaris arundinacea and Lythrum salicaria) along creek. Some Frangula alnus in the southwest. In central portion of prairie fen, 40m east of aspen peninsula, 150m east of wooded upland border, on north side of a patch of 7-10 Larix laricina trees 4-10m tall, 2m north of one of the trees, slightly uphill from stream and fen to the east. Cyperaceae and Dasiphora fruticosa meadow with Asteraceae, Poaceae, and Valeriana uliginosa. Ground with small hummocks and moist to wet.
Population - Common, 0-4 per 1m2. More abundant to the west. Most flowering, some wilting.
