Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Schoenoplectus and Eleocharis rostellata dominated area with abundant Dasiphora fruticosa. Also common is Thelypteris palustris, Cornus sericea and Carex sterilis. Also in area is Eupatorium perfoliatum, Rudbeckia fulgida, and Drosera rotundifolia. Ground moist and covered in Sphagnum layer.
