Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. High quality open meadow covered in Eleocharis rostellata and Dasiphora fruticosa. Other common species include Solidago ohioensis, Schoenoplectus acutus, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, Doellingeria umbellata, and S. uliginosa. Toxicodendron vernix and Larix laricina also present on this moist, flat ground.
