Habitat: Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. 30m north of road on western portion of the main part of the fen. 1m south of Spring Mill Creek, 50-70m east from place where the creek crosses the road. Woods give way to dense shrubs, then small portions along stream is prairie fen. Dominated by Carex, Eupatorium perfoliatum, arrowhead, and grasses with a shrub layer of Cornus, Spiraea alba, and Frangula alnus. Large tussocks, possible bumblebee next (of 1-3) on tussock to the east of quadrat. Little standing water in area.
