Habitat: Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. 40 - 50m north of road, 150m from east edge of fen. Cannot see creek. Beautiful Carex/Asteraceae meadow with large shrubs of Toxicodendron vernix and Cornus every 20m2 and small shrubs of Spiraea alba and Cornus every 9m2. Ground hummocky and moist but not wet.
Description: Population - Aside from Eutrochium, most common asteraceae of area, usually growing between or on edges of Carex stricta hummocks, 30-80cm tall. No flowers.
