Small fen dominated by Carex. Several shrub zones of Cornus and a large wooded zone of Tamarack, Cornus, and poplur. Autumn olive encroaching on edges and some within fen on northern side. Nirdlingers maintain surrounding prairie. Homeowner to north manacures land in the lawn fashion to the edge of his property. In Carex meadow. A birch tree-only one in area, is 30m to the northeast. Western edge of sedges and into autumn olive is 100m west. Ground with standing water between hummocks.
Population - Clusters of Carex prairea intersparced among hummocks of Carex stricta. Many blooming.
