The fen is less than 30 acres surrounding the lake. There are shruby patches of Cornus, Toxicodendron vernix, birch, and aspen, and large patches of Typha and Phragmites. There are many streams 1m wide, one larger one on the north side of the stream. Evidence of maintenence with burn piles and woody cuttings. 100m from southern border. West of a large cedar tree, a large tamarack tree is 20m northwest. Carex and Typha dominant, more Carex near the cedar tree. Ground hummocky (!0-20cm tall), standing water in quadrat.
Population - Clumped, somewhat common, 1-4 per 1m2 for 20m2.
