Locality: USA, Georgia, Sumter, State Hwy 118, ca. 3 mi SW of Leslie, Sumter Co.

Habitat: Shoulder and embankment of Hwy 118; 6-10 ft above a marshy depression.
Substrate: Twining/blanketing grasses, chiefly Digitaria and Eleusine.
Associated Species: Cephalanthus occidentalis, Liquidambar styraciflua, Crataegus crus-galli, Campsis radicans, Panicum hemitomon.
Description: Corolla light purple, a deeper purple within tube. Anther sacs (mostly opened) tan and white. Filaments and style off white. Ovary pale green. Herbage, and calyx as well, was generally plae to light green, the lvs. slightly darker adaxially.
