Habitat: Herbaceous grassland with therophytic forbs and perennial forbs dominating and shrubs secondarily dominant. Found growing with Ambrosia psilostachya, Heterotheca subaxillaris, and rare Croton monanthogynus. Soil almost completely sandy. Vegetation coverage is about 50-70% and is in direct sunlight.
