Bottom of roadbank. Moist, sandy soil. With dense Calamagrostis canadensis, and scattered Pteridium aquilinum, Aster lateriflorus, Carex gynandra, and Juncus effusus. Rhus typhina and sapling Betula papyrifera provide light shade.
Fairly compact patch of roughly 100 shoots. No evidence of having been planted. Flowers white, tinged with pink-purple. Strong mint odor. [UWSP146314 and UWSP146426, apparently part of the same collection: S.C. Garske 669]
