in shallow E-facing canyon, on N-facing slope, where Quercus ruqosa from canyon bottom meets Q. depressipes on open slopes, also with Pinus arizonica, P. leiophylla, P. cembroides, Q. hypoleucoides, Cercocarpus, Q. basaseachicensis.
Two plants in this collection (A,B). This species extends from the bottom of the draw up the N-facing slope ca. 50 m, where it contacts and hybridizes with Q. depressipes, producing Q. basaeachensis. Trees or dense shrubs, to ca. 4 m tall. ; Imager: RA; Date Imaged: 7/26/2012
