Habitat: Occasional in formerly cultivated exotic hay meadow on deep, well drained, noncalcareous, loamy fine sand (Wilco Series) on gently rolling upland underlain by Weches Formation. Interesting (less weedy) associates include Aphanostephus skirrhobasis, Castilleja indivisa, Chloris cucullata, Coreopsis nuecensis, Descurainia pinnata, Dichondra recurvata, Euphorbia peplidion, Gaillardia pulchella, Galium virgatum, Krigia cespitosa, Leptoloma cognata, Linaria texana, Linum imbricatum, Oenothera laciniata, Phlox drummondii, Plantago hookeriana, Polycarpon tetraphyllum, Polypremum procumbens, Sabatia campestris, Urochloa ciliatissima, Vulpia octoflora. Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
