Habitat: Larrea-dominated bajadas. Pale soil covered w. small flat stones. Associates include Fouquieria, Jatropha, and Melampodium. Shrub 1.5 m. tall. Fls bright yellow. Local dominant on bajadas.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
