Habitat:
Riparian vegetation in igneous gravel and bedrock. Accociates include Cephalanthus, Ungnadia, Salix, Quercus, Baccharis, Salix gooddingii, Muhlenbergia rigens, Rhus virens, Hedeoma molle, and Perityle dissecta. Erect much-branched annual 1 m tall. Phyllaries shiny-glutinous. Flts all yellow. Rare.
