Locality: United States, Texas, Presidio, Chinati Mtns. State Natural Area. At eastmost Cienega near windmill. SW of Sierra Parda.

Habitat: Very fine-grained, pale damp soils at edge of cienega, with bouldery small igneous hills. Associated with Prosopis pubescens and Baccharis with dense stands of Sporobolus and Distichlis. Erect annual to 1.2 m tall. Ray fls lavender. Disk fls yellow.
