Locality: United States, Texas, Val Verde, Amistad National Recreation Area: Canyon 74 across from Rio Grande Buoy 28. Sample plot no. 74. Box Canyon Quad (1:24,000).
Habitat: Gravelly (limestone) silty bench above small intermittent drainage in former inundation zone; huisache-mesquite-salt cedar woodland with tasajillo. With Opuntia leptocaulis, Prosopis glandulosa, Tamarix ramosissima, and Acacia minuata. Rare shrub to 1 m. Corolla yellow. NPS Accession No.: AMIS-00291. NPS Catalog No.: AMIS 41462. Reproductive Condition: fruiting=late
