Description:
plants 7-8dm. high, branched from base; stems green or slightly reddish, hirsute and strigulose, with red papillae; veins reddish; bracts ascending in bud, leafy, persistent, hypanthium and sepals green, glandular, tips divergent, terminal; petals 2x2cm., old gold with lit tie red in age; stigma greenish yellow, lobes divergent; capsule-valves emarginate.
