Habitat: Open southrly facing slope above ephemeral stream in rolling to mountainous oak-manzanita-dominated Madrean evergreen woodland.; Stony soil
Associated Species: Quercus emoryi, Quercus oblongifolia, Arctostaphylos pungens, Baccharis salicifolia, Platanus wrightii, Cuphea wrightii, Anoda cristata, Gomphrena cf. nitida, Adenophyllum cancellatum, Melampodium cf. appendiculatum, Acalypha neomexicana, Bidens cf. bigelovii, Zinnia peruviana.
Occurrence Remarks: These plants were abundant among summer annuals on slope.; 4: 10 - 16-inch ascending to erect annual plants with fuzzy, bipinnatifid leaves and panicles of inconspicuous green and yellow flowers.
