Verbatim Elevation: 840-870 ft.
Habitat: Disturbed, mesic, second-growth forest. Glaciated upland tall grass prairie remnants and opeing on gentle E and W facing slopes to N and E of forest being. Sandy soil, with sandstone gravel and glacial till, and some larger sioux quartzite boulders.
Associated Species: Celtis occidentalis, Juniperus virginiana, Gleditsia tricanthos, Maclura pomifera, Morus rubra and Ulmas rubra. Shrubby understory dominated by Euonymus fortunei, Ligustrum obtusifolium, Lonicera japonica, Loniceramaackii and Symphorcarpos orbiculatus; and glaciated. Acer ginnala, Cornus drummondii, Elaeagnus umbellata, Lonicera maackii, Pyrus calleryana, Rhus copallina, Rhus glabra and Robinia pseudoacacia.
