Habitat: Wet sand along rocky, seasonal drainage in mesquite grassland.
Associated Species: Fouquieria splendens, Erythrina flabelliformis, Prosopis velutina, Mimosa dysocarpa, Dasylirion wheeleri, Selaginella rupincola, Muhlenbergia arizonica, Baccharis sarothroides, Bouteloua radicosa, Bouteloua chondrosioides, Heteropogon contortus, Gossypium thurberi, Cylindropuntia spinosior, Echinocereus rigidissimus, Cyperus squarrosus, Eragrostis pectinacea.
Description: Annual graminoid, 30 cm; small tubers attached to roots; spikelets golden.
Occurrence Remarks: PAPAZ; duplicates to ARIZ, ASC.
