Description:
Locally abundant matted perennial; photos. Flower bud collected 6 June 2011 from individual transplanted to outside garden, Chino Valley, Arizona; anthers turning yellow but without fertile pollen; flowers photographed and collected (2) 17 June 2011 (15:00 hours).
Occurrence Remarks:
Type locality for Opuntia standlyi Engelmann in Emory; check for fertile pollen.
