Habitat: Canyon in steep, bouldery, granite hills; coarse, sandy, decomposed granite soil; desert scrub & microphyll woodland with Olneya, Parkinsonia florida, Senegalia greggii, Fouquieria, Bebbia juncea, Encelia farinosa, Cylindropuntia bigelovii, C. munzii, etc.
Description: Very locally common 1.5 m shrubs in narrow rocky side canyon.
Reproductive Condition: Sterile
