Abstract: The Baca National Wildlife Refuge (BNWR) is one of the country’s newest refuges, authorized in 2000. It is located in the northern end of the San Luis Valley, a high, mountain valley in Southern Colorado. The BNWR is a former cattle ranch, 92,500 acres (37,433 ha), characterized by a mosaic of vegetated dunes, shrublands, grasslands, wet meadow wetlands, playa wetlands, and riparian areas. This checklist is based on collections in 2006 by Pam Regensberg's as part of her master’s thesis at the University of Colorado-Boulder and a subsequent inventory by Pam and Melissa Islam in 2012 and 2013. Species collected in 2012 and 2013 are linked to their vouchers.
