Associated Species: Quercus chrysolepis, Quercus kelloggii, Pinus ponderosa, Ceanothus integerrimus, Philadelphus lewisii, Fraxinus dipetala
Occurrence Remarks: Shrubs branching, 2 to 3 m. high. Apparently the same as A. hispidula but without the prickle-like glands
