Associates include: Eleocharis erythropoda, Carex hystericina, C. stipata, C. nebraskensis, C. interior, C. pellita, C. diandra, Schoenoplectus pungens, Sparganium eurycarpum, Typha latifolia, Epiloboum leptophyllum, Cardamine bulbosa, Galium tinctorium, Impatiens capensis, Eupatorium perfoliatum, E. maculatum, Pedicularis lanceolata, Cicuta bulbifera, Glyceria striata, Amorpha fruticosa, Salix amygdaloides, and Ulmus americana.
