Locality: Mexico, Oaxaca, Close to the main road running W from Puerto Escondido towards Pinotepa Nacional near the small village of Cacalote which lies about 15 km E of the small town of Rio Grande on the narrow coastal plains south of the Sierra Mader del Sur about 3 km inland
