Habitat:
Somewhat sandy open area, low grass, seldom mowed. With Potentilla recta, Bromus inermis, Monarda fistulosa, Achillea millefolium, Asperagus officinalis. Nearly level, with surrounding thickets and patches of native vegetation (Cornus racemosa, Ribes missouriense, Anemone canadense, Fraxinus pensylvanica, Acer negundo, etc).
