Habitat: Fen curves around east and south portions of the lake. Many "No Trespassing" signs posted. Mostly herbaceous Cyperaceae with shrubs on borders. Actively maintained by The Nature Conservancy. Fay Lake Road borders on east and south side fo fen. 0.5m from lakeside (to the east); cannot see water on other side (west) of peninsula, 150m south of tip. Ground hummocky, pools in footsteps, but not on surface. Dominated by Carex with some ferns, nearest tree/shrub 5m to west or northwest.
Description: Population - 3-4 individuals in 1m2 area, clumped, near Carex, sedges, marsh ferns on densely populated peat hummocks.
