Habitat: NW-facing slopes of decomposed granite. Pinus flexilis/Abies concolor/Chysolepis sempervirens community, with Draba corrugata saxosa, Pyrola picta, Galium parishii, Silene parishii, Chimaphila umbellata, Castilleja applegatei and Selaginella watsonii.
Occurrence Remarks: Uncommon subshurn. On decomposed ganite. pinus flexilis/P. lambertiana/Quercus chrysolepis community, associated taxa include Cercocarpus ledifolius, Arctostaphylos patula, Hieracium horridum, Galium parishii, Monardella, Erigeron breweri, Heuchera & Selaginella watsonii.
