Locality: United States, New Mexico, Taos, On West side of Costilla Creek canyon ca 3.6 miles South of Amalia, 0.9 mile South of Hwy 196 on road to Ski Area.
Habitat: On volcanic soil of road cutin pinyon-juniper woodland.
Associated Species: Artemisia tridentata and Cercocarpus montanus.
Description: One large plant with several dozen stems on a single root crown; stems prostrate-almost humistrate.
