Growing on slope above creek in dry, mixed deciduous, loblolly pine forest.
Small shrub, 1.5-1.75m tall. Leaflets opposite or subopposite; apex emarginate, with midvein often terminating in small, tawny gland-like structure; adaxial surface strigillose; abaxially tomentose.
