Locality: Mexico, Veracruz, Perote Mun., Along Highway Mex. 140, just a few m E of the Veracruz-Puebla state line, 5 km SW of Totalco (=San Antonio Limon); at the very edge of Laguna El Salado.

Habitat: Flat fields cultivated in the rainy season, now very dry and probably somewhat saline, at the very edge of now mostly saline flats, and only this species and no. 29680 Actinea chrysanthemoides now green and blooming.
