Locality: United States, Louisiana, Washington, Lee Memorial Forest, N of LA 10 at Sheridan, eastermost part of Forest.

Habitat: Roadsides and young longleaf pine plantations. Area burned recently but still thick in places with Ilex vomitoria. Sandy loam.
Associated Species: Growing with Andropogon gerardii, Schizachyrium scoparium, Vaccinium darrowii, Sericocarpus tortifolius, Eryngium yuccifolia, etc.
Reproductive Condition: flower & fruit
Preparations: Herbarium Sheet 1 of 1.
Occurrence Remarks: Abundant on roadsides on Lee Forest and in the area collected. Common in young longleaf pine plantation.
