Habitat:
Base of bank, just above water level, in mud. Single plant. Spreading heavy shade, closed canopy.
Description:
No rhizome. Perigynia beaks not bent. Perigynia equal to or less than 4 mm long. Terminal spikes staminate. Achene trigonal.
