Locality: Haiti, Sud, Haiti: Sud. Massif de la Hotte. Macaya Biosphere Reserve. Bwa Formon (Bois Formond). Karst area near the home of Robert and Tila Despagne, our base camp, to ca. 1 km SW. 1000 m. Disturbed "rak bwa" with Cecropia, Phyllanthus, Eugenia, Miconia, Mecranium, Illicium, Rhytidophyllum, Heliconia, Renealmia, Tabebouia, Solanum, Vernonia. Common herb to ca. 0.75 m tall. Petals white. Anthers yellow.
