United States, Florida, Osceola, United States: Florida: Osceola County. Kelly Ranch. Off South Port Road. Section 18, T28 R20. Pastureland, with S. viarum and S. capsicoides. Zig-zag stems. Corollas stark white, lobes 3-4 mm long, stellate externally. Ovaries and styles pubescent; anthers 3.5-4.5 mm long, attenuate, golden yellow. Fruits orange-red, ca. 8 mm across, with a few hairs at apex, overwise glossy. Stems and leaves densely stipitate-stellate. Stems with many stout, curved prickles.
