Prairie fen with sedge meadow zone common throughout, wooded fen with many tamaracks (Larix laricina); lots of Frangula alnus. Very long, narrow fen. Split by the headwaters of the Grand River. East side owned by The Nature Conservancy, west side mostly privately owned. Grand River is too deep/silty to cross without use of footbridges. Many zones in fen. Periodic shurbby zones; invasives; Phalaris arundinacea common. Sedge meadow in middle of prairie fen about 30m west of stream; about 10m west of Larix laricina trees; common species in area include Dasiphora fruticosa, Rudbeckia fulgida, Schoenoplectus pungens, Lysimachia quadriflora, Solidago ohioensis, Muhlenbergia richardsonis. Ground moist but not inundated.
