Small fen located between two lakes. Remnant patch of prairie fen with majorly altered hydrology due to historic marl mining. Water table lowered dramatically, which results in much drier soils. Very marly area dominated by prairie grasses. About 0.3m south of established walking path; just north and east of 2 Juniperus plants. Dasiphora fruticosa and Pycnanthemum virginicum common, as well as Frangula alnus.
Flowers -NA.Uncommon in area; only one in 10 sq. m; none in flower; not invading; about 30cm tall; shrub; evidence of browsing.
