Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Typha latifolia dominated sedge meadow in eastern end of eastern prairie fen portion; Toxicodendron vernix, Larix laricina, and Dasiphora fruticosa common in area; other species include Thelypteris palustris, Carex lasiocarpa, C. hystericina, Lythrum salicaria, and Muhlenbergia glomerata. Ground wet and barely inundated in places.
