Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Western edge of Typha latifolia dominating in middle of eastern pocket of prairie fen; Asteraceae-dominated sedge meadow to west and more or less T. latifolia monoculture to the east; common species include Symphyotrichum firmum, Caltha palustris, Carex stricta, Toxicodendron vernix, and Eupatorium perfoliatum. Ground wet and sometimes inundated.
