Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Sedge meadow in northern portion of prairie fen; located about 15m west of medium-sized (about 10m tall) Quercus sp.; about 10m south of stream; most common sedges include Carex lasiocarpa and C. sartwellii; other common species include Dasiphora fruticosa, Eutrochium maculatum, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Betula pumila, Andropogon gerardii, and Agrostis gigantea; ground moist and lightly hummocked.
