Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Carex stricta dominated area in western portion of prairie fen; located about 3m east of medium sized Populus tremuloides; common species include Eutrochium maculatum, Symphyotrichum firmum, Solidago altissima, S. gigantea, Thelypteris palustris, and Agrostis gigantea. Ground moist but not wet.
