Habitat: Large fen with high quality portions on eastern edge. Beautiful large Larix laricina trees shelter very diverse ribbons of fen. Large west portion is dominated by weedy species including Agrostis gigantea. Phalaris arundinacea dominates the fen/woodland interfaces. Bordered on north by creek and on south by woodland upland. Typha angustifolia dominated area in northwest portion of eastern pocket of prairie fen; many healthy Larix laricina trees in area up to 30m tall; located immediately south of creek; species in area include Carex stricta, Lobelia kalmii, Lathyrus palustris, Thelypteris palustris, Mentha canadensis, Dasiphora fruticosa, and Campanula aparinoides; ground wet and seepy.
