Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In northern portion of prairie fen, less than 100m from northern border, 250m east of western border. Area is dominated by young Larix laricina (2-3m tall), Typha angustifolia, Thelypteris palustris, and Carex. Shrubs of Salix and Toxicodendron vernix common every 4-15m2. Large ant mound in center of quadrat. Ground moist.
