Very shrubby lakeside fen. Mostly sedge meadow and wooded fen. Dominant vegetation includes Carex stricta, C. hystericina, Rosa, Frangula alnus, Larix laricina, Toxicodendron vernix, and Symphylotrichum firmum. Invaded by Phalaris arundinacea, Frangula alnus, and Rosa multiflora. Some boggy areas in the northeast. Drosera rotundifolia were found on Sphagnum hummocks in wooded fen. In southern section, ATV or truck activity, in open sedge meadow. Possible hunting site. In west-central portion of prairie fen, 50m north of Typha pond, 16m east of dense Toxicodendron vernix and Larix laricina. Area is Cyperaceae flat dominated by Cladium mariscoides, Schoenoplectus, Dasiphora fruticosa, Carex sterilis, and occasional Andropogon gerardii. L. laricina and T. vernix shrubs every 4-9m2. Some invasion by Lythrum salicaria. Ground hummocky and puddles in footsteps. Standing water.
