Habitat: Lake side prairie fen. Mostly Cyperaceae, Cornus, and button bush dominated marl zone with some Asteraceae and Dasiphora fruticosa near the wooded borders. Invaded by Phragmites, Phalaris arundinacea, and Frangula alnus. In large southern section of fen, in west-central portion, 50m east of Little Portage Lake, 40m east of 4m tall Sambucus canadensis tree. On northern part of inundated Cyperaceae and button bush area. Standing water 2-25cm deep.
Description: Population - Abundant in inundated Cyphalenthus occidentalis/Cyperaceae area. No fruits or flowers seen. 1m tall.
