Lake side prairie fen. Mostly Cyperaceae, Cornus, and button bush dominated marl zone with some Asteraceae and Dasiphora fruticosa near the wooded borders. Invaded by Phragmites, Phalaris arundinacea, and Frangula alnus. In large southern section of fen, 5m south of northern border, 80m east of Little Portage Lake, 10m south of 10m tall Acer rubrum, 8m south of 8m tall Ulmus. Area dominated by Cladium mariscoides and Poaceae with a ground cover of Potenilla. ground flat and moist.
Population - Hidden amongst taller vegetation. Not flowering or fruiting. Seen with Poaceae and Cyperaceae on moist soil.
