Habitat: Mostly open prairie fen with strong prairie component. Bisected by Little Goose Creek. Some large swaths of Frangula alnus being treated by Michigan Nature Association. Weedy areas develop further downstream where fen narrows. Highly variable in regards to health of fen with some patches appearing pristine and other complet Phragmites australis stands. Private property is being heavily encroached by shrubs and turning the high quality fen into a patchwork of degraded/healthy fen. Sedge meadow with early shrub invasion by Frangula alnus and Cornus sericea; about 20m east of road; close to entrance. Lythrum salicaria common but not dominating; herbaceous later dominated by Carex spp. Sorghastrum nutans, and Galium boreale
