Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In north-central part of prairie fen, 10m north of Grand River, 20m east of gross orange pond. Sedge meadow with some Asteraceae and Poaceae. Typha angustifolia invasion 5m to the south. Underneath pocket of Larix laricina, red cedar, Cornus, and Toxicodendron vernix trees. Ground hummocky and water pools in footsteps.
Population - Hidden amongst Carex and clinging to Carex. On moist soil, 1-3 per 1m2 for 10m2.
