Fen on county and private land and managed by The Nature Conservancy. Grand River travels through center of fen (4m wide). Near river area dominated by Cyperaceae, Typha, and Dasiphora fruticosa; shrubs of Rubus and Cornus near woodland upland edges. In northwestern part of fen, 15m south of bridge on east side of Grand River. 2m east of river. Area dominated by Cyperaceae with some asters and Lythrum salicaria and Typha. Stand of tamarack trees to the east 2m. Salix saplings under 1m have a density of 2-3 per 1m2. Ground hummocky with standing water between hummocks.
